Whether you're sitting in the saddle for the first time or preparing for your next competition, Rivendale has a lesson format to match. Our well-schooled ponies and horses are carefully matched to each rider's experience and goals.
With a 40×80m sand arena, cross-country course, and forest trails, there's no shortage of variety in how you learn and grow.
Afternoon sessions with riders of a similar level. A social, encouraging environment that builds confidence and skill together.
Beginners — IntermediateOne-on-one tuition focused entirely on your goals. Dedicated instruction tailored to your journey, whether you're building skills or preparing for competition.

Rivendale riders regularly compete in SANESA regional and provincial qualifiers, with several earning provincial representation. We also host our own annual end-of-year show.
During school holidays, we run Pony Fundays — action-packed days filled with riding, horse care, outdoor adventure, and lots of fun for young horse lovers.
Forest rides, trail adventures, and swimming with horses at the dam. Every funday is an outdoor adventure.
Educational visits from the farrier and physio. Kids learn grooming, tacking up, and what it takes to care for a horse.
Arts & crafts, farm fun, and plenty of time to just be kids in the fresh air of the Winelands.
